What Happens at Your Appointment

Come prepared. Clean, detangled, completely dry hair — washed the day before if you can.

Bring a reference photo. Length and twist size are what you are really choosing here, and a photo settles both in seconds. It is also what we price from.

On arrival. Your braider confirms the length, the size and the final price with you. Nothing starts before you agree the number.

Caring for Nubian Twists in Houston Humidity

The coil is what you are paying for, so protect it:

• Satin bonnet every night. Coiled hair flattens under your own weight while you sleep, and it does not spring back on its own.
• Mist, do not soak. A light leave-in scrunched by hand keeps the coil. Repeated soaking loosens it permanently.
• Wash the scalp between the parts. Diluted shampoo along the partings, rinse carefully, dry properly.
• Coiled textures hold up well here. Broken-up texture hides frizz in a way that smooth twists cannot, which makes this a sensible choice for a north Houston summer.
