Why We Opened in Spring
Anyone who has had their hair braided in this part of Texas knows the trade-off.
You could get beautiful work — and pay for it with a four-hour wait, a price that moved between the phone call and the chair, and a scalp that ached for a week. Or you could get a salon that ran on time and treated you properly, and drive forty minutes into Houston to reach it.
The women of Spring, Klein and Tomball were doing that drive. Down the 249, down I-45, into Westheimer or Bissonnet, for a service that already keeps you sitting for most of a day. Adding an hour of traffic to a six-hour appointment is not a small thing.
We opened here because there was no good reason for that drive to exist. A salon north of the Beltway can braid to the same standard as one in the city. It just has to decide to.
Who Braids Your Hair
African hair braiding is not a skill you pick up in a weekend. Parting cleanly, feeding hair in evenly, keeping tension consistent from the first braid to the last across six hours — that is craft, and it takes years.
That is who works here. Braiders who do this every day, on every texture, across every style on our menu, and who can tell you within a minute of looking at your hair whether the style you want is going to sit the way you are picturing it.
It is also why we talk you out of things. A braider who does one install a week says yes to everything. A braider who does this daily has seen what a style that is too long, too dense or too tight looks like three weeks later — and will say so before you book, not after.

You Know the Price Before We Start
Braiding prices vary — by length, by size, by density, by how much hair goes in. That is real, and any salon telling you otherwise is guessing.
What should not vary is the number you were told. So here is how it works: you send or bring a photo of the style you want, we agree the figure with you, and that figure is what you pay. It is flat-rate from the moment it is agreed. If it helps you feel secure, ask for it in writing before we begin — we would rather you did.
One thing to know so there is no surprise: the price covers the braiding. The hair itself is not included. Bring your own, or buy it here and we bill it separately. How many packs you need depends on the style, which is another reason the photo comes first.

What We’ll Tell You Not to Do
A salon that says yes to everything is not doing you a favor.
If your edges are thin or actively breaking, we will steer you away from length and density and toward something lighter — or ask you to wait. If your scalp is irritated or broken, we will ask you to come back when it has settled. If your own hair is too short to hold the base a style needs, we will tell you rather than braid something that will not hold.
You can book somewhere else and be told yes. We would rather you came back to us in three months with your hair intact.
